FCC rules govern electromagnetic interference for electronic products sold in the United States. LED luminaires fall under FCC Part 15 as unintentional radiators: their switching drivers must not emit radio-frequency noise beyond defined limits (Class A for commercial/industrial environments, stricter Class B for residential). Compliance is demonstrated through accredited-lab testing and the Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) route, with the FCC statement carried on the label and documentation. For buyers, an FCC-compliant driver also signals general EMC discipline — the same engineering that prevents a fixture from disturbing warehouse barcode scanners, gate radios, and CCTV feeds.
