High Bay Light
A high bay light is an industrial luminaire designed for mounting heights of roughly 6 metres and above — factories, warehouses, logistics hubs, gymnasiums, and hangars. The engineering brief is concentrated downlight from height: high lumen packages (10,000–100,000+ lm), optics from 60° to 120°, robust thermal design for continuous operation near a hot roof, and IP-rated sealing where dust or washdown demands it. Modern LED high bays fall mainly into two form factors, the circular UFO and the rectangular linear, replacing 250–1000 W HID predecessors at roughly one-third the wattage. Selection hinges on mounting height, target lux, aisle geometry, and ambient temperature.
