LED Street Light

An LED street light is a pole-mounted roadway luminaire engineered to put uniform light on a carriageway with controlled glare — the workhorse of municipal, highway, and campus lighting. Defining features: forward-throw roadway optics (IES Type II/III) that stretch pole spacing to 3.5–4× mounting height, a die-cast housing with tool-less or slip-fitter pole interface, wide-voltage drivers, surge protection sized for exposed grid positions (6–20 kV), and photometric files enabling EN 13201-compliant designs. Typical spans: 20–60 W residential, 60–150 W collectors, 150–300 W arterials, with dimming profiles (timer, 0–10V, DALI, or smart-city nodes) cutting overnight energy on low-traffic routes.
